The Dog Who Waited at the Station: A Heartbreaking Tale of Loyalty

A dog that was abandoned and in through the streets, came across a friend after a generous man chose to take him in. The bond between them became irresistible. Every day the man left to work via train and every day his dog would accompany his train on his way to the station. The dog would sat at the station’s entrance with a smile with his tail wagging until the evening train came back. After that, they would stroll home in a line.

A normal day, however, became a disaster. The person never appeared. He died quickly and suddenly and left behind a faithful fellow passenger who couldn’t understand why the man’s owner didn’t get out of the train.

Over the course of weeks and months and months, the dog would remain at the same place, rain or shine, under the burning sun as well as the torrential rain. Commuters started to notice the adoring dog, with his back firmly pressed like he was holding onto the the hope that eventually the owner of his love returned.

The locals, moved by the incident, began giving water and food to the animal. A few tried to take him in however, the dog would always go back to his spot and guard the place that he was last seen by the person he adored.

The tale quickly became viral on the internet it was a source of comparison to the mythical tale about Hachiko Hachiko, a Japanese dog who was renowned for the unshakeable loyalty he displayed to his owner. All over the world, people shared their sorrow and gratitude in the dog’s loyalty.

Animal welfare groups have said that these stories show not only the extent of the loyalty that dogs are capable of as well as human responsibility to care for them.
