At a small garage sale A family snatched up an old camera that was filled with film. They were intrigued, and set out to develop the photos, expecting only blurry holiday photos or lost family photos.
What they did instead was that it made their blood run cold.
Every photo that was taken on the roll was children. In the first picture the boy was at a distance, partially hidden by the dark shadows. In the next one, the boy was nearer. Fragment by frame, he drew closer to the lens, his face unblinking, his eyes not focusing.
At the time of the 10th photograph the man was looking directly at the camera. The final image was the most shocking of all with a face that was pale and placed near to the camera that each detail of his slender eyes and slack mouth was visible in the frame.
The family contacted the owner of the garage sale about the kid and the seller said they’d never met him before and also that the camera was kept on their roof for a long time.
Even to this day the family is unable to keep the camera at their home. Sometimes, when they look through their photos they are convinced that the boy’s eyes appear to move along with theirs… like he’s waiting for someone else to take his photo again.
