Maria Twamley, a 91-year-old woman was left unattended in Birmingham Airport despite booking special assistance. Her family was relying on the airport’s assistance system to ensure her safety on the road. However, Maria was left alone and scared, not able to navigate her route.
The family of her described her as awed, upset shocked, and broken over the incident. They watched helplessly while their aging grandmother who was already living an extremely long and hard-living existence, was faced with unnecessary pain as a result of inattention.
